Today is the National Day of Prayer.

The National Day of Prayer, an annual observance designated by Congress where “the people of the United States may turn to God in prayer and meditation at churches, in groups, and as individuals” is Thursday.

Prayer has always been a part of the American story, and today countless Americans rely on prayer for comfort, direction, and strength, praying not only for themselves, but for their communities, their country, and the world.

Today we will say a special prayer for the children, because every child has the right to a good start in life.
